Perinatal Mental Health Group: Support for New and Expecting Moms

The transition to parenthood is profound, and it’s normal to feel overwhelmed. This 6-week online group is designed for new and expectant mothers seeking a supportive space to process challenges, reduce isolation, and strengthen mental health. Facilitated by a psychologist with expertise in perinatal mental health, this group focuses on compassion, connection, and practical strategies.


Who This Group Is For:
This program is for women/birthing parents who:

  • Are pregnant or parenting an infant and experiencing stress, anxiety, or low mood.
  • Feel pressure to “do it all” or struggle with perfectionism.
  • Want to connect with other mothers/birthing parents navigating similar challenges.
  • Are looking for strategies to set boundaries, practice self-care, and strengthen resilience.
     

What to Expect:
Over six weeks, this group will help you:

  • Explore the identity shift and complex emotions that come with parenthood.
  • Learn strategies for managing anxiety, low mood, perfectionism, and intrusive thoughts.
  • Discuss ways to navigate changes in relationships and support systems.
  • Build a sense of community with other mothers/birthing parents who understand.
     

This group combines psychoeducation, coping strategies, guided discussion, and supportive sharing.

  • Dates: Next sessions TBD
  • Time: Wednesday mornings, 9:30am-11:00am
  • Format: Online (via secure video platform)
  • Cost: $130 per session; $780 total (eligible for insurance coverage under most plans)
  • Size: Limited to 6-8 participants
  • Scheduling: Groups begin once a full cohort of participants has been confirmed. You’ll be contacted with exact start dates when your group is ready to run.
