Clinical Psychologist
The founder of Ursa Psychology, Dr. Katherine Kovachik (she/her) provides treatment to adults and couples. She works from a primarily cognitive behavioural framework, incorporating elements of acceptance and commitment, dialectical behaviour, interpersonal, psychodynamic, and narrative therapies. Dr. Kovachik is particularly passionate about working with those experiencing depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and complex trauma, perinatal mental health concerns, grief and loss, and relationship challenges.
Dr. Kovachik is currently only accepting therapy intensive clients.

Clinical Associate
Lily Pankratz (she/her) is currently completing her PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Manitoba. She provides treatment to adults and couples. Lily uses an integrative approach, with a foundation in third-wave cognitive behavioural framework, such as dialectical behavioural and acceptance and commitment therapies. Lily is particularly interested in working with those experiencing grief or loss, trauma, depression, and relationship challenges.

Psychological Associate (IP)
Dr. Nicole Muir (she/her) is a registered Psychological Associate (Independent Practice) who provides treatment to adults. Dr. Muir uses various components drawn from Schema Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CBT, and Narrative Exposure Therapy to meet the needs of each client. She has a particular interest in supporting those who are experiencing anxiety, family difficulties, complex trauma, grief and loss, and perimenopause /menopause.

Registered Social Worker
Richelle Ready (she/her) provides treatment to persons across the lifespan. Richelle’s practice is based on creating safer spaces for all persons to share their stories, express their emotions, and care for all aspects of their well-being.
She uses various components drawn from somatic practices, play-based practices, Narrative Therapy, Resurgence Theory, and trauma-informed practice to co-create a supportive approach to processing and healing. Richelle has particular interest in supporting youth and young adults who are experiencing anxiety, complex trauma, grief and loss, and needing support navigating the complexities of being a human having a human experience.
As someone who has previously worked within complex systems and understands the harms and moral injuries that can occur in helping work, she is further interested in supporting those who support others and work in helping fields to provide support in navigating situations of vicarious trauma, secondary exposure trauma, and trauma resulting from work experiences.
